NEL CSU Case Study
NEL CSU are a leading CSU covering London and the home counties. They had two contractor related issues that Cognita were able to solve with a flexible, bespoke delivery, quality management and metric system with a realistic and benchmarked rate card aligned to deliver to NEL CSU.
Changes to legislation and NHS policy meant NEL CSU had a number of contractors whose extensions were rejected; as a result NEL CSU were faced with losing entire teams of skilled resource that were seen as business critical.
NEL CSU were also having difficulty working with the CL1 framework. It was slow, bogged down in process, and the quality of proposed contractors fell below expectations.
Cognita met key stakeholders and understood the challenges NEL CSU faced; the need to execute a cost savings initiative whilst retaining and delivering best value for money.
We introduced NEL CSU to the CCS DOS framework, which Cognita is part of and the NHS have subscribed to. Following a competitive tender exercise through DOS, Cognita scored the highest by independent assessment and were awarded the new NEL CSU services against strong competition.
Cognita offered a bespoke solution and service to allow a seamless transition of the existing teams through reshaped SoW. This allowed existing projects and commitments to continue.
The service and newly created outcomes delivered by the 7 key associates allowed NEL CSU to maintain business essential relationships with many of their CCG customers. This team is responsible for generating an income for the CSU of approximately £700,000.
